Choose between an in-town home or a home on acreage. Bozeman's historic district offers many homes from the early 1900's that have been well maintained and not only offer elegant living but a sense of history as well. Newer subdivisions offer a variety of options from upscale custom built homes to a more traditional family home. Options include new construction or pre-existing homes. If you are a fix-it person, those homes can also be found.

 

Condo developments offer many people the housing with out the hassle of yard work. There are many new condo projects in and around Bozeman.

Where ever you chose to live, you will still enjoy the character of Montana--as Will Rogers said, "I've yet to met a stranger."

Bozeman's housing is supplement with several housing units for the elderly. Hillcrest Retirement Home is connected to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital and offers individual units with a common dining area. Spring Meadows offers assisted living and Darlington Manor and Legion Villa offer private housing in a supervised area. There are also several nursing homes and respite care available.

The median price of homes inside the Bozeman city limits is about $308,322. Outside the city limits and on less than an acre the median price is $445,243 and on over an acre the median price is $234,000. The median price of condos is about $182,705. Belgrade, seven miles to the west of Bozeman, has a median price of $235,983.

Bozeman has maintained its downtown area with many shops for your needs. The Main Mall is located on the west end of town and in the past few years several major retailers have entered the Bozeman area.

Bozeman is the county seat of Gallatin County which covers 2517 square miles To put this in perspective, Gallatin County is larger than the states of Rhode Island or Delaware. Much of the country is fertile farm fields and over 40% is managed by the U.S. Forest Service thus providing excellent recreational opportunities right out your back door.
